Uniform dress code policy:

• Slacks and skirts should be tan, black or blue
• Shirts must be collared and navy blue or white
• Shoes must be black or white
• Hoodies are allowed during cool weather, but must be gray, blue, or black
  • Hoods must be down

Gumdrop Uniforms (vendor)

While you do not have to purchase through our vendor, school-specific, dress code appropriate apparel can be purchased via the Gumdrops company. They set up at school on many of our parent nights, including Meet Your Teacher. They have many available packages.

• Age 8 or under: Should never be home alone
• Age 9-12: Can stay alone up to 2 hours

What is Parent Portal?

Parent Portal provides you, the parent, with access to your student's current grades, attendance, and meal accounts from the privacy of your own living room. Using your device, you can access your student's information anywhere, even their course history.

How do I get access?

1. Fill out an application then bring it, in person, to your child's school. 
   You may add all your children on a single application; additional adults require a separate application.
   Applications also available in multiple languages to the right.
2. We'll photocopy your driver's license to prove your identity and get the process started.
3. You'll receive an email with a token number in it. Copy the token and follow the directions in the email.

Student Portal

Each child at Summerour has access to the county's Student Portal, an online resource for accessing eClass pages, textbooks, and research databases.

These resources are available anywhere the child can get an internet connection. Students use the same student number and password to log in that they use in school to gain access to our computers, so there is no extra log on to remember. Much of your students work will use this vital resource.

GCPS uses My Payments Plus to pay for a variety of school lunches, fees, and fines. At student registration you will be able to sign off on a lot of the paperwork with simple clicks.
